Real Madrid open to the King’s Cup final

– In the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final at Anoeta Stadium on the morning of February 27, Real Madrid won 1-0 against host Sociedad thanks to the only goal by Endrick.

Traveling to Real Sociedad’s field, Real Madrid sent out many important stars such as Bellingham, Vinicius and coach Ancelotti also gave opportunities to young talents Guler and Endrick.

Real Madrid pressed the field right after the opening whistle and young talent Endrick left his mark. After a combination in the middle outside the penalty area in the 19th minute, Endrick penetrated and accurately finished through the legs of the Sociedad goalkeeper, opening the score 1-0 for Real Madrid.

In the following period, Real Madrid continued to dominate the game but they lacked precision in finishing. Vinicius, Bellingham and Guler all had chances to score, but they all finished hastily.

However, Real Madrid’s defense made many mistakes in defense due to errors from Raul Asencio and Lucas Vazquez. If Mikel Oyarzabal and Takefusa Kubo had finished more accurately, Sociedad could have earned a draw.

The 1-0 victory in the Basque Country was enough for Real Madrid to take the advantage before the rematch against Sociedad at the Bernabeu in the second leg of the semi-final on April 2. If they reach the final of the King’s Cup, Real Madrid will face Barcelona or Atletico.

On March 2, Real Madrid will visit Real Betis in round 26 of La Liga. Coach Ancelotti’s army needs 3 points to hope to regain the top spot from Barcelona.
