Man Utd fans criticize Dorgu and Onana as disasters

– Man Utd’s new signing Patrick Dorgu and goalkeeper Andre Onana were heavily criticized by fans for their disastrous mistakes in the match against Ipswich Town in round 27 of the Premier League on the morning of February 27.

Although Man Utd won 3-2, mistakes by the duo Onana and Dorgu almost turned the match into a nightmare for “Red Devils” fans.

Dorgu and Onana made mistakes that led to Man Utd’s first goal.

In the 4th minute of the match, from a seemingly harmless long ball from Ipswich, Dorgu turned everything into a disaster when he passed the ball back in the wrong direction. Goalkeeper Onana also caused confusion when he rushed out, causing Dorgu’s pass back to become an assist for Jaden Philogene to easily score.

This is another regrettable mistake in Onana’s long list of mistakes in nearly 2 years at Man Utd. Former coach Erik Ten Hag chose the Cameroon goalkeeper to succeed David De Gea, but Onana’s performance only brought disappointment.

According to Opta, Onana has made 13 mistakes in less than 2 years at Man Utd. David De Gea has only made a total of 17 mistakes directly leading to goals in 12 years in the “Red Devils” goal.

At the end of the first half, Onana continued to make mistakes in the 2-2 equalizer of the Ipswich players. Jaden Philogene made a simple pass into the box, but the Man Utd goalkeeper failed to judge the situation, the ball went into the net and Philogene completed his double.

Onana is showing inconsistency and often makes unnecessary errors. The 28-year-old’s forgettable performance led to the Manchester Evening News giving him a rating of 4/10.

Dorgu had a disastrous debut in a Man Utd shirt

Meanwhile, Dorgu also had a debut that couldn’t have been worse. After a mistake in the 4th minute that led to a goal, the new Man Utd player continued to make mistakes when he made an unnecessary foul on an opposing player, causing him to receive a direct red card from the main referee and had to leave the field in the 43rd minute.

Despite a terrible start and having to play with one less player, Harry Maguire’s brilliance helped Man Utd come back to win 3-2. However, the joy of victory still could not calm the anger in the hearts of the “Red Devils” fans.

On social network X, account Bhavesh Gujrati commented: “Man Utd spent 30 million pounds to buy a spy. Own goal after 4 minutes and was sent off before the first half ended, Dorgu’s performance was too bad”.

EmmyBlaq added: “There’s nothing better than the combination of Onana and Dorgu. But that’s great for Man Utd’s opponents.”

Meanwhile, many others also expressed sympathy for coach Ruben Amorim and said that the situation is “getting more and more difficult” for the Portuguese coach.
