The Korean team Dplus KIA was crowned champion after 3 days of competition at the PUBG Mobile World Championship Finals in London (UK), on December 8.
Overcoming a series of opponents, Dplus KIA became the new champion of the 2024 PUBG Mobile Global Championship (2024 PMGC), helping the Korean region win the highest-level event of PUBG Mobile Esports for the first time. This year’s tournament continues to be jointly organized by Krafton, Level Infinite and VSPO.

After 18 matches of the world’s top 16 PUBG Mobile teams, Dplus won the top 1 spot 3 times with 94 kills to win the championship with 153 points in total. With this championship, the Korean representative will receive a prize of 426,000 USD. Athlete Song Soo-an (Nolbu) won the FMVP title of the tournament.
Dplus KIA representative said that the team would like to thank the fans and coaching staff for trusting and supporting Dplus KIA on the journey from Korea to England. “We were very excited to compete on the world’s top stage in London, meeting opponents and audiences from all over the world. After 2024 PMGC, the whole team will continue to accompany and conquer the title in new seasons,” said the Dplus KIA representative.

The runner-up and third place positions of the 2024 PMGC respectively belonged to Regnum Carya Bra Esports (Türkiye) and Nigma Galaxy (Middle East). The sole representative of Southeast Asia – Voin Donkey ID finished 5th overall with 112 points.
It is expected that from next year, the PUBG Mobile Esports system will also have changes, aiming for closer connections between levels from domestic, regional to world tournaments, with a total investment cost of about 10 million USD. “Thanks to that, athletes will have more opportunities to compete and shine in high-class arenas,” said a representative of the organizing committee. “Next year, Thailand will officially host the PMGC Finals.”
2025 will also witness the return of the Esport World Cup, one of the most prestigious esports events in the world. PUBG Mobile will be featured as one of 25 competitive events at the event taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

“It’s been a great year for PUBG Mobile esports as we wrap up the PMGC London Finals. I’d like to thank the players, coaches, and fans who came together to create some amazing moments and experiences,” James Yang, Global Esports Director of PUBG Mobile, said after the tournament. “I’d like to congratulate Dplus KIA on their win and appreciate the hard work of the other teams. We’re looking forward to next year’s season with new competitions and new milestones.”
