– Athlete Paulo set a Guinness record for the fastest marathon time with a stroller carrying 3 children.
At the Seville Marathon 2025 on February 23, Paulo pushed a stroller with two 8-year-old twins and a 6-year-old boy. The three boys weighed about 100kg in total. Still, he successfully completed the marathon.
According to the record, Paulo ran 42km in 3 hours and 4 minutes. This athlete set a Guinness record for the fastest marathon with a stroller. Although they did not run directly, the three boys were still awarded medals. They showed off their medals together at the finish line.
Paulo’s achievement was still nearly 1 hour behind the first place winner, Selemon Barega. The Ethiopian athlete competed fiercely with two compatriots, Challa Gossa, Abebaw Desalew and Mathew Samperu of Kenya.
After 30km, the athletes’ achievements were still quite close. Selemon Barega led with a time of 1 hour 27 minutes 26 seconds, compared to 1 hour 27 minutes 58 seconds for Challa Gossa and Mathew Samperu.
It was not until the last kilometers that Selemon Barega really broke away and finished with a time of 2 hours 5 minutes 15 seconds. He failed to break the tournament record of 2 hours 3 minutes 27 seconds set last year.

Ở nội dung dành cho nữ, VĐV Anchinalu Dessie của Ethiopia về nhất với 2 giờ 22 phút 17 giây. Đáng chú ý, đây mới là lần đầu tranh tài ở giải marathon sau khi đạt được thành tích xuất sắc ở cự ly bán marathon (21km).
