LCP 2025 – League of Legends Championship Pacific will be one of the top five regional tournaments in the League of Legends Esports Ecosystem.
Serving as the premier regional league in the Asia-Pacific ecosystem, the LCP is seen as the only path for teams in the region to qualify for global events next year. One tier below the LCP will be the PCS, VCS, and LJL. These leagues will continue to operate within their regions to find the best teams to compete for an Invite slot through promotion and relegation tournaments.

LCP 2025 will bring together the best teams from Vietnam, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, Macao, Japan, Oceania and the rest of Southeast Asia to deliver regular inter-regional tournaments with the best talent, diverse matches and fresh competition. A total of 8 teams are expected to participate in the tournament, which will incorporate a new promotion/relegation tournament model, including:
– 4 partner teams
– 2 invited teams
– 2 slots for high-achieving teams
The first guest teams to participate in the tournament next year will be determined based on the results of the PCS Playoffs and VCS Summer Split 2024. This will give teams participating in the VCS, PCS, LJL and LCO Summer Splits a chance to secure a spot in the new tournament. For future seasons, when the promotion/relegation model comes into effect, away teams will have the opportunity to be promoted from their respective domestic leagues,
LCP and other regions around the world will receive 1 new event slot (5 teams total), 2 MSI slots (10 teams total), and 3 Worlds slots. Additionally, the MSI Champion and the second-best region will continue to receive additional Worlds slots for their tournaments, bringing the total number of Worlds teams to 17.
