Transfer news: Young star Lamine Yamal has just made a decision about joining PSG in the context of Barcelona looking to recruit Darwin Nunez.
Young talent Lamine Yamal is close to signing a new contract with Barcelona, according to his famous agent Jorge Mendes. Discussions between the Catalan club and the player’s representatives are going very smoothly, without encountering any significant obstacles. This shows that a consensus has been established between the two parties on the important terms of the upcoming deal.
Jorge Mendes firmly stated: “Lamine Yamal will sign a new contract with Barcelona.” After a meeting in Lisbon with senior club officials, he added: “Today’s topic is only about Lamine, and he will definitely stay. No one needs to doubt that.”

Lamine Yamal has been a target for PSG in the past. The Parisian club was willing to pay up to 250 million euros for the services of the young Brazilian star. If Barcelona agreed to this offer, Lamine Yamal would be the most expensive player in the world. The current transfer record belongs to Neymar when he moved from Barcelona to PSG for 222 million euros in 2017.
According to famous transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the new contract between Yamal and Barca is expected to be officially announced next summer, when the young player turns 18. This is part of Barcelona’s long-term development strategy for its young star. The new contract, expected to last until June 30, 2030, was initially proposed with a salary double the current one.

Barcelona are reportedly keen on Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez. The Catalan giants see the Uruguayan as a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski in the near future.
Under coach Hansi Flick, Barcelona are said to be planning to overhaul their attack, with Lewandowski now 36 and no longer in top form. The German tactician has also convinced the Blaugrana board of Nunez’s suitability for the team’s style of play. As for Liverpool, the English team is said to be willing to let Nunez leave if they receive a price of around 50 million Euros.
